Graded Arithmetic-mathematics Test Specimen Set

This pack, comprising a teacher's manual and a test, is a sample of an updated and redesigned arithmetic and mathematics test for pupils aged five to 12. It provides a quick and convenient standardized assessment of overall mathematical attainment which complements and checks National Curriculum assessments. Starting from basic number knowledge, the test comprises six to eight items per year group which sample a range of mathematical skills. For younger and less able pupils, instructions for oral administration are provided. The tests are quick and easy to use with class groups or individuals. The administration and scoring objective is simple: the answer key aligns with the test form for quick, accurate marking. Norms as quotients (standardized scores) and maths ages are provided.
