London: Jonathan Cape, 1959. First Edition. Publisher’s black cloth with skull design in blind with gilt coins in the eyes. First state of the binding with indent present at top of the skull. Spine lean, faint foxing to top edge, and fore edge lightly thumbworn. Dust jacket priced 15s. with artwork by Richard Chopping remaining vivid, nicked to top of spine and at flap hinges with light scuffing to rear panel but a clean example overall. Very Good. The seventh title in the James Bond series and the third to be filmed with the Sean Connery-helmed outing premiering in 1964. The first issue binding is uncommon. (Gilbert A7)
