Ghost Forest

Ghost Forest from award-winning poet Nick Drake gathers together three interconnected sequences. ‘Tipping Points’ follows the ancient elements — earth, air, fire and water — through the dark matter of their metamorphoses in the climate emergency. ‘Ghost Forest’ traces the cycles of time in woodlands and forests, inspired by those who work to restore them. ‘Spring Ephemerals’ pays close attention to the flowers that appear between the darkness of the winter solstice and the rebalancing light of the spring equilux. These poems celebrate the wonders and mysteries of nature, and the imagination’s power to reconnect, transform and, perhaps, re-enchant.

Many of the poems have been set to music by Rachel Portman.
