This title presents the ground work for the basic stage of reading. The book is divided into 9 units. Each unit is a story that focuses on a topic. The stories are fun and from the children's environment. Every unit starts with rhyme followed by 3 lessons. The book will teach: 305 high frequency words to be read and written; vocabulary focusing on topics of "friends", "colours", "human body", "food", "adjectives", "cloths", "home", "school" and "numbers to 20"; reading and writing simple and short sentences; some open and close ended questions; the basics of correct sentence formation; and the concepts of "nouns", "verb", and "propositions", thus preparing student to studying Arabic grammar.
