She fails to notice that the good of her people is threatened. When a jealous courtier seeks to imitate Gemma's power he successfully deceives, and then kidnaps, her. He weaves a spell that confuses her memory and transports her to a distant island. Talking cat Fleabag the Fire Cat, and lady knight Rowanne seek to rescue her, but it is ultimately up to Gemma to use the Ring Fire against the dark forces now threatening the kingdom.
