London: Herbert Jenkins, 1969. First Edition, signed by author. Publisher’s red cloth boards are clean, spine ends and corners pushed in, top corner of upper board a touch worn. Spine has a slight lean, binding a little shaken. Pages are evenly coloured and clean throughout. Dust jacket has been clipped and re-priced by the publisher, evenly yellowed else in good order. A bright copy with no trace of the usual sunning to spine. The first of Fraser’s twelve Flashman books. Flat signed copies are scarce indeed.
