Emergency Lighting: For Industrial, Commercial and Residential Premises

This manual covers shops, offices, factories and other business premises, all of which need emergency lighting, as well as residential premises, including hospitals, and in general, places to which the public has access. "Emergency lighting" refers to the basic lighting systems that are required to be installed to take over if normal lighting fails. The function of emergency lighting, to enable escape, is taken here in its broadest sense as covering not only back-up to regular lighting provision, but also "way-guiding" - methods of escape-route guidance in poor visibility.
