Elbe - Saale - Bode

The region southeast of Magdeburg, which the map is dedicated to, is characterized by the three rivers Elbe, Saale and Bode. In the rather sparsely populated area, the places are mainly to be found on these rivers: Stassfurt on the Bode, Nienburg, Calbe and Barby on the Saale, Aken and Schönebeck on the Elbe. The Elbe meadows are protected here by the Middle Elbe Biosphere Reserve, through which attractive cycling and hiking trails lead.
