Discrete Projection Methods for Integral Equations

Discrete projection methods are analyzed for a variety of integral equations which arise from the reformulation of boundary value problems for partial differential equations. The theory is illustrated by applying it to a variety of integral equations: Fredholm, Volterra, Cauchy singular, hypersingular and boundary integral. The material should be of interest to a large audience of graduate students, practising researchers in engineering and the sciences and applied mathematicians.
