Decentering the Global: Education After the Postcolonial looks beyond the critiques of neoliberalism or the West that have so centered recent scholarship and dialague on globalization and education. Noted scholar Greg Dimitriadis instead looks at the future of education in a world where multiple centers are proliferating in ways that threaten to outstrip existing theoretical and political frameworks in the field. More specifically, this volume explores global popular art forms-the work of contemporary novelists, installation artists, and musicians-as key sites where global trends can be productively opened up and made vulnerable.
