Meet Bones, a slave on a Virginia plantation, Bess, a middle-class resident in Victorian England, and Mary Margaret, an Irish immigrant living in Boston. Each intriguing young woman faces her own set of strifes and struggles, placing a momento from their own lives inside a glass bottle. Follow this bottle, and all three protagonists, as the small glass vessel travels from the East Coast of the United States to England and back again, carrying a small piece of each girl's life with its journey.
