Comparative Politics: Notes and Readings

Intended as a supplement for undergraduate- or graduate-level courses on comparative politics, or as a supplement for upper-division courses on Western Europe, Eastern Europe, or Third World. Comparative Politics provides an overview of the tested theories and current trends in comparative politics. A balanced collection of forty-five classical and contemporary articles comparing political institutions and government regimes (democratic, authoritarian, and post-communist) and examines the dynamics of decision making, performance, and political change. Close to half the readings are new.
