"Password" is a course for Caribbean schools which acknowledges the diversity of West Indian speech while providing a thorough grounding in standard English, spoken and written. There a many lively songs, rhymes and activities, and there is a systematic approach to practical language skills. The emphasis is on competence and confidence in using a variety of registers and on building vocabulary in a wide range of contexts, both local and international. The basics of scientific and mathematical discourse are also presented. The Teacher's Books at each level of "Password" contain step-by-step lesson plans and helpful suggestions for further activities.
