Calendar for 1911

Tokyo: The Shimbi Shoin, [1910]. 32mo. Illustrated covers with 4 leaves on crepe paper bound with orange silk tie. Each page features woodblock prints in colour depicting humorous provincial scenes. One of several variant calendars issued for the same year, possibly for tourist trade. The firm of Shimbi Shoin specialised in reproductions of great works in woodblock or collotype and items printed by them are both scarce and quite desirable.
