Synopsis

The Borsig factory in Berlin was a symbol of the city's rapid industrial expansion and contributed towards its rise to an important economic centre. Over 14,000 locomotives have produced and distributed from here. Since 1995 the area has been relaunched as a multifunctional commercial centre. The Borsig tower by Eugen Schmohl has been restored and is complemented by the contemporary architecture of Claude Vasconi to mark to revitalization of the area.
