Forty years have passed since Bob Swagger's father was gunned down by two robbers just outside Blue Eye, Arkansas. Bob discovers disturbing loose ends in the "open-and-shut case", leading to the men who still wield the power in Blue Eye - men prepared to do anything to keep the past buried.
