Beneath: A Tale of Obsession

The
excavation of a well at a Roman villa site in Somerset brings together a
man and a woman of greatly differing ages and backgrounds – Anthony, in
his mid-sixties, a retired civil servant, and Giuditta, thirty years
his junior, a beautiful Italian.
She
shares his archaeological passion. They both have their secrets, which
slowly become clear as the well is dug. What is found deep beneath the
earth and what is exposed of their lives
make a dangerous dichotomy.
