Basics of Laser Material Processing

The chapters present the problems of stresses and strains induced in metals and nonmetals in the processes of laser heating, analyze the results, offer the ways of laser treatment that dispense with subsequent machining operations, and describe the basic approaches to increase the strength of materials during laser heating.
