A Guide to Facilities Planning

For courses in Plant and Facilities planning. This is an introductory text, designed to serve a twofold purpose. First, it provides an excellent overview of the content of facilities planning. Offering the student an opportunity to get a general grounding in the field through readings, detailed examples, and a case study designed to offer the practical experience of going through the planning process. Additionally, it functions as a handbook for those embarking on the facilities planning and design process for the first time. It presents a logical progression of steps from conception to the facility idea to execution of the rough-cut sketches that would be given to construction firms for use in developing the facility.
