15 Seconds
Synopsis
Claude and Mathieu are brothers. Claude is successful in love. Mathieu's never kissed a girl. Mathieu is successful professionally. Claude is unemployed and slipping from one McJob to the next. Mathieu has celebral palsy. Claude is having an early mid-life crisis. Then Claude meets Charlotte. So does Mathieu. When she moves into the brothers' flat everything becomes complicated. Even more complicated when Mathieu offers Claude a deal that no brother should. 15 Seconds is a provocative and touching comedy about love and brotherhood from one of Quebec's most up and coming playwrights. Francois Archambault, winner of Canada's Governer-General's Prize for Drama 1998. The Scots English version, by Isabel Wright, was commissioned under the Traverse Playwrights in Partnership programme, and, along with Mr Placebo (also published by Oberon Books), illustrates the breadth of talent of one of Scotland's brightest young playwrights.
