Voyaging Out: An Evening with Carolyn Trant and Maggie Humm
Thursday 12th September, 6.30-8pm
Join us for an evening of exploration and inspiration to find out about the women artists working in Britain in the early decades of the 20th century.
The title of Carolyn Trant’s book, Voyaging Out, echoes Virginia Woolf’s first novel and, in conversation this evening with Woolf scholar, essayist and novelist Maggie Humm, Carolyn – an artist herself – will introduce and discuss luminaries such as Laura Knight, Winifred Nicholson and Barbara Hepworth alongside a host of other all-but-forgotten painters.
Tickets, costing £10 and including a glass of wine, are available in the shop and on line here.
